Neither Troy page explains how the SARA line and the No fit together. What Indiana's board does and does not oversee

The Indiana State Board of Nursing, an arm of the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, describes its job narrowly. It accredits Indiana-based programs that lead to an initial RN or LPN license, and it says plainly that RN to BSN and graduate nursing programs are outside what it reviews or accredits. The administrative rule listing eligible programs covers the same pre-licensure ground and nothing more.

So the Indiana board's pages do not supply a reason for Troy's No, and Troy's table offers none. Whatever lay behind the 2020 entry, the decision about Indiana clinicals rests with Troy, which is why a fresh, written answer matters more here than almost anywhere. Residents checking first, and students on the move

If you live in Indiana and are weighing Troy, ask before applying. The RN to BSN, MSN and DNP all carry Indiana's No in the 2020 table, and Troy's current graduate catalog builds the FNP around clinicals close to home, so your home state is the question.

Students expecting an Indiana move mid-program should flag it to their faculty advisor early, because Troy has no published relocation policy. A border crossing is no easy workaround. In the same 2020 table Kentucky reads No, Ohio and Illinois read Not yet determined, and Michigan reads Yes, and each of those states brings its own license requirement and a separate Troy sign-off.

Collaborative practice and Indiana's systems

AANP rates Indiana as reduced practice, because the state requires every NP to keep a regulated collaborative arrangement with a physician for some part of the job. The Nurse Licensure Compact took effect in Indiana on July 1, 2020, while the APRN Compact remains unadopted there.

Is Michigan a workable option for an Indiana resident?
